A cage for Sony A 7R V, A 7 IV, A 7S III, A 1, A 7R IV and A 7 V featuring a built-in slot for an AirTag to enable camera tracking.
Mounting and stability
The camera is secured using a 1/4″-20 screw at the bottom and a side locating block. This prevents rotation without requiring the removal of the camera strap loops. A hinged door at the battery compartment optimises the contour for improved grip. The bottom plate includes a magnetic hex key for efficient assembly and disassembly.
Mounts and expansion
For attaching accessories such as side and top handles, the cage provides 1/4″-20 threaded holes, 3/8″-16 ARRI positioning holes and a HawkLock NATO rail. An integrated cold shoe accommodates devices like lights or the DJI Mic 2, while a QD socket in the base allows for shoulder strap mounting.
The integrated Arca-Swiss quick release plate is compatible with tripods and DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, RS 4 Pro and RS 5 gimbals. When used with a HawkLock H38 Arca-Swiss quick release plate, an automatic locking mechanism is activated. The cage is compatible with HDMI cable clamps from SmallRig cage kits 4538, 4539, 3668C and 3669D, but not with clamps from 3668B and 3669C.

Do I need to remove the camera strap loops to mount the cage?
No, the side locating block allows fixation without removing the strap loops.
Is it compatible with all SmallRig HDMI cable clamps?
It works with kits 4538, 4539, 3668C and 3669D, but is not compatible with 3668B and 3669C.
How is the camera secured to the cage?
It uses a two-point locking mechanism consisting of a 1/4"-20 bottom screw and a side locating block.
