A cage for Sony A7IV, A7SIII, A7RIV and A1 designed for use with the VG-C4EM battery grip.
The cage is mounted using a 1/4”-20 screw at the bottom and two side lock adapters in the strap holes. Its design maintains access to buttons, card slots, the battery door and the flip-out monitor. Rubber pads are included to prevent scratches on the camera body.
Accessory mounting
A cold shoe mount on top supports microphones or LED lights. A NATO rail on the left side is compatible with SmallRig NATO Handle 2427 and 3260. For low-angle shots, monitor mounts or side handles, the cage features 1/4”-20 threaded holes and ARRI 3/8″-16 mounting holes.
The front bottom support has two 1/4”-20 threaded holes for rod clamps used with Matte Boxes, Follow Focus systems and lens supports. One of these is a small mounting hole for SmallRig rod clamp 3276. An Arca Swiss quick release plate at the bottom allows for fast switching between tripod and handheld use. The lower 1/4”-20 threaded holes enable the mounting of a DJI RS 2/RSC 2 Quick Release Plate (Upper) with two screws. Cable clamp 3000 is available as an optional accessory, sold separately for Sony A7 IV and A7S III.
