This cage kit is designed for the Sony A 7R V, A 7 IV, A 7S III, A 1 and A 7R IV.
Mounting and stability
The camera is secured using a two-point locking mechanism, meaning the camera strap eyelets do not need to be removed. A hinged door at the battery compartment serves as a pinky grip. The base plate includes a magnetic hex key for assembly and disassembly.
Mounts and expansion
The cage features 1/4″-20 threaded holes, 3/8″-16 ARRI positioning holes and a HawkLock NATO rail. A built-in cold shoe accommodates devices such as lights or the DJI Mic 2, while a QD socket in the bottom is available for shoulder straps. The integrated Arca-Swiss plate is compatible with Arca tripods as well as DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, RS 4 Pro and RS 5.
Handles and accessories
The top and side handles utilise the HawkLock system for automatic locking. The side handle supports 360° stepless rotation with a single press. When used with the HawkLock H38 Arca-Swiss quick release plate, the base plate locks automatically. An included HDMI cable clamp secures the cable. This clamp is compatible with SmallRig cage kits 4538 and 4539, but not with 3668B and 3669C.
