A cage with an accompanying top plate for the Sony FX3 and FX30 that provides a protective shell and mounting points for accessories.
Mounting and grip
The U-shaped cage is secured with 1/4″-20 screws at the bottom and on both sides to prevent twisting. Integrated protective pads prevent scratches on the camera body. At the battery door, a hinge arm follows the curve of the camera to provide a better grip for the pinky finger.
Mounting points and systems
The kit utilises the HawkLock system for quick release in the cold shoe, NATO rail, and Arca-Swiss plate. The top NATO rail is attached with two 1/4″-20 screws and can be removed to allow the installation of the original XLR handle. The cage also features 1/4″-20 threaded holes, ARRI 3/8″-16 mounting holes, QD sockets, and a strap mount. An HDMI cable clamp protects the ports to ensure stable signal transmission.
