SmallRig 3579 V-Mount Battery Mini VB50

A V-mount battery designed to power equipment such as cameras, camcorders, monitors, wireless video transmitters, video lights, mobile phones and laptops. It has a capacity of 3.4 Ah (50 Wh) with a voltage of 14.8 V and integrated 3500 mAh lithium cells.

Connections and charging

The battery can be charged via V-mount, a 16.8 V D-TAP charger, or a USB-C charger such as a GaN charger with PD fast charging technology (up to 45 W), reaching full charge in 1.5 hours. For power delivery, it features outputs for USB-A, USB-C (max 45 W), D-Tap (max 12 A), DC1 8 V (max 3 A) and DC2 12 V (max 3 A). An OLED display shows the battery status and a smart button controls the unit.

Construction and protection

The housing is made of heat-resistant and fire-proof PC material. An intelligent BMS system provides protection against overcurrent, short circuits, overheating and overvoltage. The battery meets MSDS, UN38.3, IEC62133, UL2054 and UL62368 standards. For a longer lifespan, the battery should be charged to approximately 70 % every three months if left unused for long periods and stored in a dry, ventilated environment. It weighs 330 g and is 0.107 m long.
