An on-camera monitor with a 5.5 inch screen and 3000 nit brightness, ensuring the display remains clearly visible in direct sunlight.

Screen and Image Quality

The panel is a 14 cm Full HD IPS screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. Colours are reproduced according to the Rec.709 standard, and the screen features a 160º viewing angle. An integrated light sensor automatically adjusts the brightness based on the surrounding environment. Settings are controlled via the touch screen using tap and swipe gestures.

Connectivity and Tools

The HDMI input and HDMI output handle signals up to 4K at 30 Hz. For audio, there is a stereo earphone output. Available imaging tools include waveform, vectorscope, RGB histogram, and focus assist. The monitor supports HDR monitoring and 3D LUT for Log to Rec.709 conversion, with the ability to upload up to 50 custom 3D LUTs.

Power and Mounting

The battery mount on the rear accepts Sony NP-F series batteries, including F970, F960, F950, F930, F770, F750, F730, F570, F550, and F530. A 7.4 V F970 battery provides approximately 2.5 hours of operation. An external Sony F970 installation and power kit is located on the back for mounting accessories such as LED lights or wireless transmission units. Power can also be supplied via the 12 V DC input. A DC output of 8 V allows you to power a DSLR or mirrorless camera using a separate battery adapter cable for NP-FW50, LP-E6, and DMW-BLF19 models.
