A half cage for the Sony FX2 that provides accessory expansion options and fast transitions between different workflows.

Mounting and access

The camera is secured using a two-point locking mechanism. Precision-cut openings ensure that buttons, ports and the foldable EVF remain fully accessible. A magnetic hex key is included in the base for assembly and disassembly.

Mounts and expansion

The cage features 1/4″-20 threaded holes, 3/8″-16 ARRI positioning holes and a HawkLock NATO rail for the quick attachment of side and top handles. A cold shoe mount is available for devices such as the DJI Mic 2 or LED lights. Shoulder straps can be attached via a QD socket in the base. When used with the HawkLock H38 Arca-Swiss quick release plate, mounting is facilitated by an automatic locking mechanism.

Plates and compatibility

The base includes an integrated Arca-Swiss quick release plate compatible with tripods and DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, RS 4 Pro and RS 5 stabilisers. The detachable top plate is equipped with a NATO rail compatible with the Sony XLR top handle or the SmallRig rotating top handle (4152) without obstructing the EVF. The entire cage weighs 100 g.
