SmallRig 5589 Cage Kit for Sony FX2
This cage for the Sony FX2 provides full access to the camera buttons, ports and the tiltable EVF.
Mounting and attachments
The camera is secured using a two-point locking mechanism. The cage features 1/4″-20 threaded holes, 3/8″-16 ARRI positioning holes and a HawkLock NATO rail for attaching side handles and top handles. A cold shoe allows for the attachment of devices such as the DJI Mic 2 or LED lights, while a QD socket on the bottom is available for shoulder straps. A magnetic hex key is integrated into the base for assembly and disassembly.
Plate and handle
The base plate is Arca-type and is compatible with DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, RS 4 Pro and RS 5. When used with the HawkLock H38 Arca-Swiss quick release plate, it locks via an automatic mechanism. The detachable top plate includes a NATO rail for the Sony XLR top handle or the included 4152 rotating top handle. This handle can be rotated 360° with a single press.
