SmallRig 4983 L-Shape Mount Plate for Canon EOS R5 Mark II

An L-bracket for the Canon EOS R5 Mark II that enables quick transitions between landscape and portrait orientations.

The mount is secured via a three-point locking system using a 1/4″-20 screw at the base and two locating blocks on the sides. Integrated silicone pads protect the camera body from scratches. The baseplate and side panel do not obstruct the battery compartment, card slot, or buttons, and the design allows the screen to rotate approximately 100° forwards and backwards. A provided tempered glass screen protector features 9H hardness and IK03 impact resistance.

Customisation and accessories

The side panel can be extended by 22,5 mm and adjusted forwards and backwards by 7,8 mm to facilitate cable management without blocking HDMI or microphone ports. For expansion, the plate includes threaded 1/4″-20 holes, a QD interface, strap slots, and cold shoe mounts for accessories such as microphones, video lights, transmitters, and flashes. An included mounting block with a cold shoe stabilises the frame during vertical shooting to prevent image shift.

The plate uses the Arca-Swiss system for direct mounting on Arca-type tripods and DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, RS 4 Pro, and RS 5 stabilisers. A magnetic tool is integrated into the base for assembly and disassembly. The L-bracket weighs 152 g.
