SmallRig 5588 Cage Kit for Sony FX2
This rig for the Sony FX2 provides full access to the camera’s tiltable EVF, buttons, and ports. The camera is secured using a two-point locking mechanism.
Mounting points and attachments
The cage features 1/4″-20 threaded holes, 3/8″-16 ARRI positioning holes, and a HawkLock NATO rail for quick mounting of side and top handles. A cold shoe allows for the attachment of devices such as the DJI Mic 2 or LED lights. Shoulder straps can be attached via a QD socket in the base, which also houses a magnetic hex key.
Plate and handle
The integrated Arca-type quick release plate is compatible with DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, RS 4 Pro, and RS 5. When used with the HawkLock H38 Arca-Swiss quick release plate (4486), the base plate locks automatically. A detachable top plate with a NATO rail fits the Sony XLR top handle or the SmallRig rotating top handle (4152) without obstructing the EVF. The XLR handle extension provides an expanded grip area and includes 1/4″-20 threaded holes for monitor mounts.
