SmallRig 5492 Camera Battery Charger for DMW-BLK22

This charger is designed for Panasonic DMW-BLK22 batteries and supports both original and third-party variants. It features two charging slots, allowing two batteries to be charged simultaneously in approximately 2 hours. The unit weighs 57 g.

The rated output per channel is 8,4 V/1 A. Via USB-C, the charger accepts 5 V/2,4 A, 9 V/2 A, 12 V/1,75 A or 15 V/1,5 A with a maximum power of 22,5 W and support for PD3.0, QC2.0 and QC3.0 protocols. When using a 5 V/2,4 A adapter, a slow charging mode is activated where channel 1 is prioritised over channel 2. The charger is not compatible with 5 V/1 A power adapters, and a power adapter with an output of 22,5 W or higher is recommended. The USB-C input enables compatibility with wall adapters, car chargers and power banks.

Indication and safety

Each channel has five LED indicators that show the power level in 20 % increments, even without external power. A red warning light illuminates when the battery level is critically low. Built-in circuits monitor temperature and voltage to protect against overheating and overvoltage. Charging slows down during overheating and power is cut entirely during overvoltage. Trickle charging is used when the battery is nearly full to preserve battery health.

Supplied with a 60 W USB-C to USB-C cable of 1 metre.
