SmallRig 2982 Camera Cage for Canon R5/R6 & R5 C

A cage for Canon EOS R5, EOS R6 and EOS R5 C that provides multiple mounting points for accessories around the camera body.

Mounting and access

The cage is secured using a 1/4″-20 screw and two locating pins at the base. Silicone pads on the top and bottom prevent scratches on the camera. The design ensures full access to the camera controls, buttons, ports, battery door and hot shoe. The right side is contoured to maintain the original grip of the camera handle.

Accessory mounts

Multiple threaded 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 holes are available for mounting accessories such as the SmallRig Side Handle 2093, SmallRig Top Handle 1984 and SmallRig Arm with Ball Heads 2070. The top section features a cold shoe for microphones and LED lights, as well as ARRI 3/8″-16 locating holes on the top and sides for the SmallRig ARRI Top Handle 2165 and SmallRig ARRI Side Handle 2426 and 2914. The left side supports the SmallRig Cable Clamp 2981. Holes on the sides and bottom are compatible with the SmallRig Hand Strap 2456, wrist strap 2398 and shoulder strap 2428.

Base plate and materials

The bottom plate is Arca-type and includes 1/4″-20 threaded holes for connection to equipment such as the DJI RS2/RSC2 Arca plate. A built-in spanner for removing the bottom screws can be slid out from the side. The cage is constructed from aluminium and stainless steel.
