SmallRig 2982 Camera Cage for Canon R5/R6 & R5 C

A cage for Canon EOS R5, EOS R6 and EOS R5 C that allows for the mounting of accessories around the camera body.

Mounting and access

The cage is secured using a 1/4″-20 screw and two locating pins. Silicone pads on the top and bottom prevent scratches on the camera. The design provides access to the camera controls, buttons, ports, battery door and the camera’s own hot shoe. The right side is contoured to fit the camera grip.

Accessory mounts

Multiple threaded 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 holes are available for mounting accessories such as SmallRig Side Handle 2093, Top Handle 1984 and Arm with Ball Heads 2070. The top section features a cold shoe mount for LED lights and microphones, as well as ARRI 3/8″-16 mounting holes on the top and sides for ARRI Top Handle 2165 and ARRI Side Handles 2426 and 2914. The left side supports SmallRig Cable Clamp 2981. Holes on the sides and bottom are compatible with accessories such as SmallRig Hand Strap 2456, wrist strap 2398 and shoulder strap 2428.

Base plate

The bottom plate is Arca-type and features 1/4″-20 threaded holes for connection to equipment such as the DJI RS2/RSC2 Arca plate. A built-in tool for removing the bottom screws can be slid out from the side. The cage is constructed from aluminium and stainless steel, weighs 165 g and measures 153 x 58 x 112 mm (W x H x D).
