A full-frame macro lens with a 35 mm focal length and f/2.8 aperture that offers true 1:1 magnification. It combines the detail of a macro lens with a wider perspective to preserve the environmental context around the subject.

Optics and aperture

The construction consists of 13 elements in 10 groups with an apochromatic APO design. This optics reduces both longitudinal and lateral chromatic aberration to minimise colour fringing on high-contrast details. The aperture range extends from f/2.8 to f/22 and the aperture has 9 blades.

Focus and macro capabilities

The lens features autofocus from 0.5 m to infinity. For distances closer than 0.5 m, the Macro Focus Assistance system is used for precision down to the maximum 1:1 magnification. The minimum focusing distance is 180 mm and the minimum working distance is 48.6 mm. Internal focusing ensures the physical length of the lens remains unchanged during focusing.

Construction and dimensions

The body is built from metal and is protected against dust and moisture. A dedicated focus assistance button provides quick access to focus functions. The filter diameter is 72 mm and the angle of view is 63.4°.
