This is a full frame macro lens with a 100 mm focal length and f/2.8 aperture, offering 2:1 magnification for extreme close-ups. The optics consist of 12 elements in 10 groups and feature an apochromatic APO design that minimises chromatic aberration and colour fringing both in and out of focus. The angle of view is 24.4°. This lens is the second model in the Laowa 2:1 macro series following the Laowa 60 mm f/2.8 2:1 Macro.

Aperture and focus

Depending on the version, the aperture has between 7 and 13 rounded blades, providing smooth background blur. Focus is set manually for high precision during macro and portrait work. The lens can focus from 2:1 magnification all the way to infinity.

Minimum focus distance and construction

The minimum focusing distance is 24.7 cm at maximum magnification. The barrel is built from robust metal for professional use and weighs between 638 g and 650 g. The length is between 125 mm and 155 mm with a diameter of 72 mm. It features a 67 mm filter thread.
