SmallRig 5486 Turbo Charging Kit for EN-EL15c Camera Batteries

A charging kit for EN-EL15c type camera batteries, compatible with Nikon Z 8, Z 7II, Z 7, Z 6II, Z 6, Z 5, Z f, Z6 III and D850, D810, D810A, D780, D750, D610, D500, D7500 and D7200. Each battery has a cell capacity of 1940 mAh, a nominal voltage of 7.2 V and a rated energy of 13.968 Wh. Optimised cells allow two batteries to be fully charged in approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hours.

Charger and connectivity

The charger features two slots with a rated output of 8.4 V / 1 A per channel and a USB-C input supporting PD3.0, QC2.0 and QC3.0 protocols. It accepts 5 V / 2.4 A, 9 V / 2 A, 12 V / 1.75 A, 15 V / 1.5 A; 22.5 W (Max). Five LED indicators per channel show the power level in 20% increments, and a red warning light activates at critically low levels. When using a 5 V / 2.4 A adapter, the charger operates in slow mode, charging channel 1 first before switching to channel 2.

Safety and function

An intelligent circuit monitors temperature and voltage to protect against overheating and over-voltage. Charging slows down during overheating and power is cut during over-voltage. Maintenance charging is used near full capacity to preserve battery health. The batteries have a maximum discharge current of 4 A and a discharge voltage of 5.0 V.
