This cage kit is designed for the Sony FX5 and XLR-H2 handle. The camera is secured using multiple 1/4″-20 screws on the bottom and sides for stable mounting, while silicone padding protects the body from scratches.
Mounts and expansion
The cage features integrated 1/4″-20 threaded holes, one ARRI 3/8″-16 locating hole, 1/4″-20 locating holes, a QD socket, and a strap mount. Cold shoe mounts are available for accessories such as monitors and lights. An HDMI cable clamp protects the connection to ensure stable signal transmission.
HawkLock and compatibility
The NATO rail and Arca plate utilise the HawkLock system for self-locking and rapid mounting of accessories like magic arms and side handles. The system remains compatible with traditional NATO clamps, Arca-Swiss clamps, and cold shoes. The top plate is removable to allow the installation of the Sony XLR-H2B handle or the DVF-EL1B or DVF-EL1 electronic viewfinder.
When using the top plate, the Sony ECM-B1M, ECM-M1, ECM-B10, and the DJI Mic 2 shoe adapter are confirmed compatible. The Sony ECM-W3, ECM-W3S, and ECM-W2BT microphones are incompatible.
