A four-channel battery charger for DMW-BLK22 batteries used in cameras such as DC-S5, DC-S5K, DC-S5II, DC-S5IIX, DC-S5M2, DC-S5M2X, DC-GH5M2, DC-GH6, DC-GH6L and DC-GH7. Four batteries with a capacity of 2600 mAh are fully charged in 3 hours.
Power supply and charging
The charger uses USB-C with PD protocol and weighs 136 g. The number of active charging channels is determined by the adapter voltage: 5 V activates 1 channel, 9 V activates 2 channels, 12 V activates 3 channels and 15 V activates all 4 channels. If a battery with a higher voltage is inserted, the system prioritises charging it first. The output per channel is 8.4 V⎓0.9 A, 8.4 V⎓1.8 A or 8.4 V⎓2.5 A with a charging limit voltage of 8.45 V. For optimal performance, a USB-C charger with an output of 45 W or higher is recommended.
