SmallRig 5257 Cage for Nikon Z5II

A full cage for the Nikon Z5II, Z7, Z6, Z7II, Z6II and Z5 that protects the camera body against impact and abrasion.

Mounting and access

The camera is secured using a three-point locking system consisting of a 1/4″-20 screw at the bottom and dual side locating blocks. Built-in pads protect against scratches and the design provides full access to the battery compartment, ports, buttons and flip screen. An integrated double head wrench is located on the underside for easy assembly and disassembly.

Expansion options

The cage is equipped with 1/4″-20 threaded holes, 1/4″-20 locating holes, 3/8″-16 threaded holes and ARRI 3/8″-16 locating holes. A HawkLock NATO rail with quick release on the left side allows for the attachment of side handles. A cold shoe mount is available for microphones and lights, while shoulder straps can be attached via the QD socket or specific mounts designed for carrying the camera lens-down. A wrist strap attaches to the dedicated strap mount.

Tripods and stabilisers

The bottom features a HawkLock Arca-Swiss quick release plate for direct mounting on Arca-type tripods and DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, RS 4 Pro, RS 4 Mini and RS 5 gimbals. For extended operating time, the cage can be combined with V-mount batteries and corresponding battery plates. Accessories such as monitor mounts, power bank holders and single rod clamps attach to the threaded holes.
