This cage kit is designed for the Canon EOS C80 and features a modular construction where the top plate, baseplate, and right side plate can be used independently to suit different shooting requirements.
Mounting points and attachments
The cage provides 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threaded holes, 1/4″-20 locating holes, ARRI 3/8″-16 locating holes, and M3 threaded holes. For further accessory expansion, it includes cold shoe mounts, H21 NATO rails, and QD sockets. An integrated NATO rail with an ARRI rosette matches the original handle, allowing for quick transitions between horizontal and vertical shooting.
Baseplate and lens support
The modular baseplate offers two configurations. When the mount plate is attached, the setup can be mounted on tripods, ARRI BP8 baseplates, and shoulder rigs. With the mount plate removed, the integrated ARCA plate allows for direct mounting on DJI RS 2, RS 3 Pro, and RS 4 Pro gimbals. The lens support is adjustable by 19 mm to accommodate various lens adapters, such as PL-RF, reducing strain on the camera mount.
The cage is compatible with Canon OEM microphone mounts, focal plane marks, and off-camera shoe cords (OC-E4A). The right side plate is contoured for an enhanced grip and features an anti-twist quick release plate.
