SmallRig 4198 Cage Kit for Sony A7 III & A7R III
This cage kit is designed for the Sony A7 III and A7R III to facilitate low-angle filming.
The camera is secured using a triple-point locking system. The cage features 1/4″-20 threaded holes, ARRI 3/8″-16 mounting holes, cold shoes and NATO rails. QD sockets are available for the 2294 monitor mount, microphones, LED lights and the 2903 monitor mount. Holes for attaching hand straps are located on both sides of the cage.
Cable management and ergonomics
An HDMI cable clamp is mounted on the left side with two 1/4″-20 screws. The clamp secures cables with a thumbscrew to protect the ports and stabilise signal transmission. A hinged arm at the battery door follows the curve of the camera to improve the grip.
The base plate is Arca type. The total weight of the kit is 315 g. A magnetic screwdriver and hex keys are included for assembly and disassembly.
