Laowa 9mm f/2.8 Zero-D Lens – Fuji X
An ultra-wide angle lens with a 9 mm focal length and f/2.8 aperture for the Fuji X system with APS-C sensors. The Zero-D technology provides nearly distortion-free images, maintaining the straight lines and realistic perspectives required for architecture and interior photography.
Optical construction
The optics consist of 15 elements in 10 groups, including two aspherical and three extra-low dispersion elements. This design ensures sharpness and accurate colour reproduction across the frame while minimising chromatic aberration. The 9 mm focal length captures a 113° perspective.
Aperture and focus
The maximum aperture of f/2.8 allows for sufficient light intake for astrophotography and low-light shooting. The aperture features 7 blades, and both focus and aperture are controlled manually for precision adjustments. The minimum focusing distance is 12 cm with a maximum magnification of 1:7.5.
Construction and weight
The lens is built with a metal construction for durability in challenging environments. It weighs 215 g and has a 49 mm filter thread.
