Laowa 15mm f/4 Wide Angle Macro Lens
A 15 mm wide angle macro lens with an f/4 aperture for full frame sensors. It is the first lens of its kind to offer 1:1 maximum magnification without the need for extension tubes.
Optics and image quality
The construction consists of 12 elements in 9 groups, including three high refractive elements and one extra-low dispersion element. All elements feature an anti-reflective coating to reduce flare and ghosting. An angle of view of 110° allows the background to be included in macro images.
Aperture and focus
The aperture features 14 blades that create a near-circular opening for a smooth shallow depth of field. Both focus and aperture are manually controlled. The minimum focusing distance is 12.2 cm from the sensor plane.
Construction and features
The barrel is built from robust metal and measures 84 x 64 mm with a weight of 410 g. An integrated shift mechanism provides +/- 6 mm of movement on APS-C sensors for perspective correction. The front filter thread is 77 mm.
