Think Tank MindShift Rotation Pro 50+L Backpack

This backpack from the Rotation series has a total volume of up to 56 litres and is equipped with an integrated belt pack for rapid camera access.

Rotation180 technology allows the belt pack to be rotated to the front of the body, providing access to equipment in 3 seconds without removing the backpack. The belt pack fits a mirrorless or DSLR camera with 3-5 lenses, or a camera with a 70-200 mm f/2.8 lens attached. It has internal dimensions of 31 x 19.5 x 18 cm, can be separated from the backpack, and features a magnetic opening with a zipper.

Compartments and access

The main compartment has a 40 litre capacity for personal items, which can be expanded to 46 litres using the extendable collar. This collar adds 6 L, increasing the total volume to 56 L. The front pocket contains a padded sleeve measuring 27 x 37.5 x 2.5 cm for a laptop up to 16 inches or a 3 L water reservoir. Additional equipment can be accessed via the back. The bag also includes a top pocket for small essentials, a large side pocket fitting most 1.5 L water bottles, and a jacket-sized front pocket.

Carrying system and features

The harness features 10 adjustment points and a Zone harness system for airflow and breathability. Weight is transferred to the waist belt, which includes its own pocket for small items. Tripods can be attached to the side panels or the front. For additional gear, there are loops for ice axes and hiking poles, as well as Daisy chain attachment points. A floating top pocket allows a jacket or rope to be secured underneath.

Materials and dimensions

The outer fabric is double-sided with a water-repellent coating and consists of 100D Triple Ripstop, 100D Ace Twill, and a 1680D ballistic nylon bottom panel. Zips are YKK AquaGuard and RC Fuse. A rain cover is included, and the bag features weather-resistant zips and zip guards. External dimensions are 350 x 610-810 x 300 mm (W x H x D) and internal dimensions are 300 x 490 x 220 mm (W x H x D). The weight is 2800 g.
