SmallRig 5059 Universal Tablet Cage for iPad
A universal cage designed for iPad, iPad Mini, iPad Air and iPad Pro with screen sizes from 8.3 to 13.0 inches, excluding the iPad Pro 12.9″ 1st and 2nd generation. It is also compatible with tablets with a width between 134 mm and 216 mm and a length up to 282 mm.
Mounting and attachments
The tablet is secured using a slider design with rubber pads to protect against scratches. For mounting accessories such as NPF adapters, external batteries, SSD mounts and handles, the cage features 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threaded holes, a NATO rail and a cold shoe mount. A strap slot is also integrated into the construction.
Workflow features
An adjustable kickstand allows the device to be set up on a desktop. A magnetic slot on top provides easy access to the Apple Pencil. To reduce glare, a detachable Velcro sun hood is included. The cage weighs 748 g.
