This lens support kit is tailored for wildlife photography using telephoto lenses from Sony (SEL600F40GM, FE 400mm f/2.8 GM OSS, SEL14TC, SEL20TC), Canon (RF400 F2,8 L USM, RF600 F4 L USM, RF800mm F5,6 L USM, RF1200mm F8 L USM) and Nikon (NIKKOR Z 400mm f/2.8 TC VR S, NIKKOR Z 600mm f/4 TC VR S, NIKKOR Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S), as well as camera bodies such as Sony Alpha 9 III, Alpha 7R V, Alpha 7R IV, Alpha 7R III, Canon EOS R5, EOS R3 and Nikon Z9, Z8, Z 7II, Z6III.
Construction and mounting
A base plate combining a Manfrotto 501PL quick release plate and double rod clamps integrates the mounts to reduce weight. The camera body connects to the rod system via a hinge. The lens support features a wheel construction that allows freedom of movement regardless of the focus ring position. A lens strap hole is included in the support for easier transport.
Stability and capacity
The three-point support for the camera body, camera mount, and lens provides stable lateral movements. The kit can handle a total equipment weight of up to 6 kg. The rods are made of carbon fibre for high strength and low weight.
