A cage kit for the Canon EOS C80 featuring a modular design where the top plate, baseplate, and right side plate can be used independently to suit different shooting requirements.
Mounting points and attachments
The cage is equipped with 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threaded holes, 1/4″-20 locating holes, ARRI 3/8″-16 locating holes, and M3 threaded holes. For accessory expansion, it includes cold shoe mounts, H21 NATO rails, and QD sockets. The right side plate is contoured for improved grip and features threaded holes for mounting tripods or L-plates.
Baseplate and lens support
The modular baseplate offers two configurations. With the mounting plate attached, it can be fixed to tripods, ARRI BP8 baseplates, and shoulder rigs. Removing the mounting plate exposes the integrated ARCA plate for direct mounting on DJI RS 2, RS 3 Pro, and RS 4 Pro gimbals. The lens support is adjustable by 19 mm to accommodate adapters such as PL-RF, reducing strain on the lens mount.
Compatibility and accessories
The cage is compatible with Canon OEM accessories, including microphone mounts, focal plane marks, and off-camera shoe cords (OC-E4A). A modular NATO rail with an ARRI rosette can be mounted on the top and sides for quick transitions between horizontal and vertical shooting. The kit also includes a top handle with a non-slip silicone grip and an HDMI cable clamp for stable data transmission.
