SmallRig 4212 Cage for Canon EOS R8

This cage is designed for the Canon EOS R8 and serves as a protective housing for the camera body.

Mounting and access

The cage attaches using a 1/4″-20 screw at the bottom and two side-locking adapters. Rubber pads prevent scratches on the camera. The design provides full access to the battery door, card slots, controls, buttons and the articulating screen.

Accessory mounts

For mounting additional equipment, the cage features 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threaded holes, as well as ARRI 3/8″-16 mounting holes. These support accessories such as the SmallRig Top Handle 3765, Side Handle 2093, Monitor Mount 2903 and Magic Arm 3875. An upper cold shoe mount is compatible with the SmallRig microphone 3468 and LED video light 3286. A built-in Nato rail on the left side fits the SmallRig Rotating Side Handle 3260 and 3813.

The bottom includes a QD socket for a shoulder strap and an integrated Arca-Swiss quick-release plate. This plate is compatible with Arca-type tripods and gimbals including the DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, RS 4 Pro and RS 5. The cage weighs 140 g. A tool for assembly and disassembly is included.
