A cage for the Canon EOS R that provides protection for the camera body and offers multiple mounting points for accessories.
Mounting and attachments
The cage is secured to the bottom of the camera using a 1/4″-20 screw and two anti-twist pins. For accessory mounting, it features several 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threaded holes, ARRI mounts, and a cold shoe. Compatible accessories include the top handle 2165, wooden side handle 2093, ball head 2070, or monitor holder 1842.
The cable clamp 1822 can be mounted to protect the HDMI cable and port. When using a Canon EF-EOS R lens adapter, the SmallRig 2696 can be used to support the mount and reduce pressure from heavy lenses.
Plate and specifications
An Arca Swiss quick-release plate is built into the base for fast tripod mounting. A flat screwdriver is also included at the bottom. The dimensions are 152 x 110 x 56 mm (W x H x D) and the weight is 195 g.
