SmallRig 6172 35mm External Optical Viewfinder
An external optical viewfinder for a selection of cameras from Fujifilm, Nikon, Canon, Sony, Ricoh and Leica, providing a field of view equivalent to 35 mm on a full-frame camera.
The viewfinder attaches to the camera hot shoe via an accessory shoe mount. An integrated silicone pad on the underside protects the hot shoe contacts.
Optics and composition
The optical system consists of five groups of glass with light transmission up to 93 %. Built-in 3:2 frame lines help define the image area. For users of APS-C cameras, a 23 mm lens is recommended.
Vision and dioptre
The construction has a fixed dioptre of -0.52 D and is intended for a viewing distance of 0.1 to 3.0 m. The eye relief is 15.5 mm. Users with a visual power of approximately -0.50 D can achieve the clearest image without glasses, while standard corrective glasses are recommended for the best possible visibility when used.
