Sirui monopods: choose the right model for your needs

Choosing the right monopod is about balancing stability, weight and how quickly you need to be able to change settings. Depending on whether you photograph sport, nature or film video, there are different technical solutions that suit different workflows.

Material and load capacity

The choice of material affects both the weight of the tripod and how much equipment it can carry. The aluminium model Sirui Monopod P-306 weighs 0.56 kg and supports a load capacity of 8 kg. The carbon fibre version Sirui Monopod P-326 is lighter at 0.45 kg and has a higher load capacity of 10 kg. For specialised needs, there is the Sirui Table Tripod / Low Angle Monopod Feet & Supporting Adapter P-36 Kit which also supports 10 kg, while the video models Sirui Monopod Video Set Pedal Version Camouflage CVM-145P + CT5X and Sirui monopod SVM-165P (Pedal version) Rapid System have a recommended load capacity of 5 kg.
